Bentu Luna Unda Vermentino 2021
This Vermentino DOC Sardegna comes from a small vineyard on the coast of Oristano in western Sardinia.
At barely 5 metres above sea level and in loose, sandy soil with a touch of clay, Vermentino thrives here in a typical Mediterranean climate. Mild winters, little rainfall and hot, dry summers that are quenched by a severe mistral or fresh sea breeze. This contributes to the mineral character of the grapes.
After pressing, the must is clarified and the grapes ferment for about 7 to 10 days in cement tanks and terracotta amphorae. Then batonnage continues to give the wine body and volume. 6500 bottles are produced annually.
The Unda will pleasantly surprise you with a sophisticated balance of floral, fruity and mineral notes.
