Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara grapes sourced from the Camparsi vineyard are later re-soaked on the skins of the Amarone from the same vineyard, after which the wine spends another 24 months in small oak barrels.

Paolo Creazzi owns barely 4.5ha in Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. These are classic Valpolicellas and Amarones, ranging from wonderfully open and fruity to full-bodied and intensely spicy, but all remarkably pure vinified. Still little known, but in some Decanter tastings they made their mark and came out among the region’s absolute best! The Amarone Riserva even scored as the best wine, ahead of wines from domains like Allegrini, Dal Forno, Bussola, Tedeschi, Monte del Frà, Masi, etc., all wines with different price tags!

Falstaff: “Dunkel leuchtendes Rubinrot. Satte Nase nach reifen Kirschen und getrockneten Rosenblättern, fein gezeignet und klar. Am Gaumen ausgewognet und feinwürzig, spannt ein tolles Kleid aus, zeigt feinem Schmelz mit zarten Saft, gute Länge, sehr ausgewogen bis ins Finale.” 93/100

Jancis Robinson: “Cherries and damson, super-ripe and voluptuous and mouth-watering sappy, and yet a beautiful dried-forest-leaf savoury lift through the finish. Something a little minty and fragrant like dried lavender lingers.” 16,5/20
