Very successful, firm Gevrey-Chambertin with some earthy notes that characterise the wines of this village, in addition to lovely deep fruit. Very nice wine that ages excellently in bottle!

Inside Burgundy – Jasper Morris MW: “A bright ruby purple. The fruit avoids the simple strawberry approach to Gevrey for something darker and more complex. The bouquet is exquisite, and so is the balance of the wine in the glass. There is a lot going on here, a dark red fruit, with a nutty note alongside. Early days yet, and there is every chance that the slightly funkier element will be entirely over-ruled by the considerable positive aspects of this wine. Drink from 2028-2034.” ****
