Domaine Jean Fournier Marsannay Le Pau 2022

As it turns out, Le Pau is the correct name for this small plot in Clos du Roy. Laurent vinifies this separately from old vines in the highest part of this (almost) premier cru with only a thin layer of earth on the limestone. Also in 2019 an absolute top wine with a deep dark colour, very full, dense mouth with lots of fat tannins. I almost dare not write it, but I taste Grand Cru’s at renowned winemakers that are nowhere near this level! What a wine!
