Istine Chianti Classico 2021

Angela Fronti manages nearly 20 hectares of vineyards, well-located plots in prime locations in Radda and Gaiole. They grow organically and have been certified as of 2016. The wines are classically vinified with a long ageing on foeder. The ambition is to be among the top in the region and, in our opinion, Angela is already well on her way, as evidenced by the coveted “Tre Bicchieri” for the 2015 Vigna Istine. This “base” Chianti is already a wonderfully fruity “real” Chianti Classico with the typical cherry/violet aromas with nice freshness and sufficient body.

Today, the wine’s energy and vibrancy are both notable, but it is clearly very early days for this bottling.” 91+/100
