Bourgogne Côte d'Or is largely sourced from terroirs in Marsannay, supplemented with grapes from the south of the Côte de Nuits. If you can measure the level of a domain by the quality of its entry-level wine, then Domaine Fournier belongs to the absolute top! Every year, this is one of the most worthwhile red Burgundies to purchase.

A rich crimson purple. Intense in its relatively extractive style. Dark cherries and black raspberries, this is quite a considerable mouthful. Could usefully be dialled back a touch. Drink from 2025-2028." ***
