Laroze is perhaps the most overlooked château in Saint-Emilion. It is one continuous vineyard with a sandy soil on a layer of blue clay, the same one that makes Pétrus' reputation! Guy Meslin has for many years been doing everything possible and impossible to raise the level, nowhere is the selection so strict with not only optical selection, but also selection by specific gravity of the grape! In recent years, therefore, this wine is among the top of the region, The composition is 62% Merlot, 30% Cabernet-Franc and 8% Cabernet-Sauvignon. This 2016 i a very nice, refined wine with soft tannins that I am already quite happy drinking.
