Cantine Guastaferro Irpinia Aglianico “Memini” 2011
This is Raffaele's “entry level” Aglianico. From vineyards at an altitude of 500 meters, this very powerful wine matures for several months in a foeder, after which it is further matured in bottle. Very deeply colored, intense, powerful, spicy wine with aromas of deep ripe stewed fruit and ash (!) and with a long, salty mineral aftertaste. Particularly beautiful and very characterful product, not to be missed!
