"A touch more colour than the straight Monthelie, just under 20% new wood (from Chassin), and showing a slightly fuller and oakier approach. A light lemony touch on the palate which is not too full though then along comes the oak. Needs time to knit and my preference is for the livelier straight Monthelie." Jasper Morris MW

Antoine en Claude Changarnier erfden dit eeuwenoude domein in 2004 en ze engageerden Fabrice Groussin als regisseur. De ambitie is groot en onmiddellijk werd begonnen met de kwalitatieve heropbouw van kelder en wijngaarden. Het domein bezit een kleine 5ha wijngaarden in vooral Monthelie met enkele percelen in Auxey-Duresses, Meursault en Pommard. Het domein is bio gecertificeerd, alle wijnen rijpen 12 maanden op houten vaten, waarvan 15 à 20% nieuwe, en nog enkele maanden op cuve. Voor de botteling worden de wijnen niet geklaard en amper gefilterd. De wijnen kregen recent al erg mooie beoordelingen in Bourgogne Aujourd'hui en dit jaar ook topscores in Wine Enthousiast.

Wij vonden de wijnen zeer expressief, altijd mooi gedefinieerd en met die zinderende energie waar we steeds naar op zoek zijn. Eco-gecertificeerd vanaf 2019.

Le Clos is a walled vineyard in the estate's park. It is a rich, plump wine with aromas of pineapple, white stone fruit and pear with a touch of toasted bread and substantial finish with mineral notes."This is an impressive domaine which is continuing to invest so as to improve further. They are adding further vineyards in Monthelie and Pommard, with additional winery and cellar space. They have been certified organic since 2019 with some biodynamic practices in place."
