"One third domaine two thirds purchased grapes. Almost black in colour, with inky depths to the bouquet which is perhaps a touch over ripe in style. Whole bunches help, albeit with a slightly dry aspect to the finish. This wine is higher than most wines in the cellar at 13.5% alcohol and blacker in fruit, which Laurent looks for in Fixin to avoid rusticity. Very good length." Jasper Morris MW

"Les Petits Crais" has a unique terroir of "Marnes du Lias," which results in a somewhat unusual, powerful, tannin-rich wine with aromas of cranberries and blackcurrant, along with a hint of mint. It is a very appealing, charming wine that is already beautiful now but can still be aged further.
Laurent Fournier is a rising star in the Burgundy world. His wines from Marsannay easily reach the level of those from Nuits or Gevrey, but at half the price. A must for true Burgundy lovers.
