"A full deep purple. There is an impressive weight of fruit on the nose, albeit less explosive than the Croix Violettes. On the palate though the same quality comes out, with perhaps some wood tannins here. Very reserved but with great potential. One barrel was slow to complete malolactic, which explains the relative backwardness." Jasper Morris MW
"Trois Terres" was always one of Marsannay's finest wines. Laurent lost 2 of the three sources for this wine and from 2018 decided to make this wine from a selection at Clos du Roy, Longeroies and Es Chezots. As beautiful as previous versions were, this is perhaps the finest Trois Terres he has already made. Particularly successful in 2020!
Laurent Fournier is a rising star in the Burgundy world. His wines from Marsannay easily reach the level of those from Nuits or Gevrey, but at half the price. A must for true Burgundy lovers.
