Henners Brut NV
This sparkling wine, made from 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier on Sussex’s chalky soils, is vinified like a great Champagne. The result is a bold, dry, fresh, and intensely mineral wine.
Founded in 2007, Henners Vineyard is located in the picturesque village of Herstmonceux, East Sussex, near the sea and the Pevensey Levels nature reserve. Benefiting from one of England’s driest and sunniest climates, the vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
The coastal influence, low elevation, and well-draining clay soils create ideal growing conditions. The sea breeze plays a crucial role, reducing the risk of frost and disease while giving the wines a crisp, saline character. Henners intervenes minimally in the winemaking process, relying on high-quality grapes. The use of multiple clones, reserve wines, and oak barrels adds complexity and depth. All wines are fermented and bottled on-site.
