Domaine Michel Noëllat Nuits Saint Georges 1°cru Aux Boudots 2015
“The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots demonstrated a little reduction on the nose when I tasted it from barrel, though there was clearly plenty of fruit underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit tinged with black pepper and licorice. I appreciate the energy conveyed by this Nuits Saint-Georges and it gently fans out towards the "confident" finish, offering a lovely peppery aftertaste.” RP
Perhaps ‘Les Boudots’ is the finest premier cru of Nuits-Saint-Georges... and of the estate. A perfectly located plot, planted with 40-year-old vines and the same vinification as both premiers cru's from Vosne results in a slightly darker wine, more blue fruit type and somewhat firmer structure with a nice balance. A truly beautiful Nuits from perhaps the best vineyard in this commune!
