Sourced from the "Railroad" vineyard on the southeast shore of Lake Seneca with a terroir of gravel and clay on slate. Harvested in late October and fermented in used oak barrels, aged "sur lie" for 9 months. The Railroad vineyard gives relatively more fruity wines than Navone, with again a pronounced salty touch, giving a powerful, long finish. A great Riesling with intense flavour and barely 12% alcohol!
James Molesworth (Wine Spectator): “Lively and unctuous, with a mix of clementine, nectarine and jasmine oil notes, backed by a pink grapefruit detail on the finish. Outgoing and distinctive."91/100
