Antoniolo Gattinara 2011
Particularly powerful, mineral wine from 100% Nebbiolo. After fermentation, this wine matures just like that for 36 months on 20hl casks of Slavonian and French oak. There is nothing ordinary about this “ordinary” Gattinara: enormous colour, beautifully nuanced nose with a hint of minerals, a very full, powerful but nuanced taste with a long, mineral finish. More accessible than the “cru’s”, but can also keep for a very long time. Wow!
