Sinds 2017 bezit Laurent ook enkele mooie percelen in de Côte de Beaune waaronder in Aloxe-Corton. De wijngaard was niet in goede staat en het duurde dan ook een jaar of 2 om die op orde te zetten, maar vanaf 2019 is dit een heel mooie, verrassend geurige, fijne Côte de Beaune.
Vinous (Neal Martin): “The 2019 Aloxe-Corton has quite a “punchy” nose, a mixture of red and blue fruit typically quite floral in style with admirable purity. The palate is medium bodied with pliant tannins, perhaps here a veneer of oak to be subsumed with a lovely caressing texture on the finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth.”
