Since 2017, Laurent has also owned some nice parcels in the Côte de Beaune including in Aloxe-Corton. The vineyard was not in good condition so it took a year or two to put it in order, but as of 2019, this is a very nice, surprisingly fragrant, fine Côte de Beaune.
Inside Burgundy: “Bright mid crimson. A more sombre style of fruit after the dancing Gevrey. But only on the nose. There is much more energy on the palate, at the front, raspberry and strawberry combined, then vanilla oak to conclude. Perhaps not quite so even in consistency. Drink from 2025-2028.”
