Wine Advocate (Neal Martin): “The 2016 Pur Pot comes from Clos du Roi, which was not frosted over this year, includes 75% whole bunch from the vines planted in 1945 and 1946. It has a very harmonious bouquet with small black cherries, blueberry, limestone (obvious given the terroir) and a touch of violet petals. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin, a razor sharp, verging on shrill, line of acidity (the pH is 3.25, and you can feel it, though Laurent said there is no acidification), and it is quite powerful and intense on the finish, suggesting that it will benefit from a year or two in bottle.” 89-91/100
