Domaine Jean Fournier Marsannay blanc “Cuvée Saint Urbain” 2021

Laurent’s 2019 Cuvée Saint-Urbain is also a particularly fine white Marsannay with a crystal-clear bouquet, a fairly intense, full-bodied flavour and long finish, and given my experience with previous years, I am very confident that it will develop longer than Neal Martin thinks!

Inside Burgundy: “To bottle next week. Quite a full yellow colour. There is a fair amount of chardonnay rose now with new vines in production. Pleasingly rich on the palate without becoming unbalanced and still with a fresh enough finish. The ripe apple and pear fruit continues very agreeably afterwards on the palate.” Drink from 2024-2026.
