Domaine Michel Noëllat Nuits Saint Georges 1°cru Aux Boudots 2021

Perhaps “Les Boudots” is the finest premier cru of Nuits-Saint-Georges… and of the estate. A perfectly located plot, planted with 40-year-old vines and the same vinification as both premiers cru’s from Vosne results in a slightly darker wine, more blue fruit type and somewhat firmer structure with a nice balance. A truly beautiful Nuits from perhaps the best vineyard in this commune!

Inside Burgundy: “More purple than crimson. The bouquet comes across as a little more muscular, and perhaps the sample has a touch more new oak. A richer depth of fruit on the nose with a fine texture, and a useful point of acidity to finish. Not the deepest concentration but a good Boudots nonetheless.” 91-94/100
