Domaine Mélaric Vin de France Le Tandem L.21

Domaine Mélaric is a young estate, established in 2006, with some top vineyards on the limestone soils in Saumur, near Puy Notre Dame. Aymeric and Mélanie work entirely according to the principles of natural wine without additives, using natural yeasts, ageing in wood and tanks, no filtering, and minimal amounts of sulfites at bottling. Their wines are particularly pure in terms of fruit and possess a delightful finesse.

This wine is made from 50% Cabernet-Franc on the typical “Tuffeau” soils of Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame and 50% Grolleau on shales d’Anjou. Maceration for one week, whole bunches, 8 months ageing in vats, unfiltered, only 10 mg/L SO2 at bottling.
A bomb of fruit that is already accessible, with mellow tannins, greedy and floral, without lacking in freshness, ageing potential 3 to 5 years.
