Burghound: “A markedly floral nose of notable ripe but fresh red and dark currants is liberally laced with distinctly earthy and sauvage elements that are also trimmed in moderate toast. There is excellent size, weight and muscle to the energetic and much more mineral-driven flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the very serious, youthfully austere and beautifully long finale. This is certainly built-to-age but it’s not so imposing that it might not be possible to enjoy this after only 5 to 7 years of bottle age if desired though note that it should amply reward 15 to 20.” 92-94/100

Wine Advocate (Neal Martin): “The 2015 Corton les Renardes Grand Cru is 100% whole cluster fruit matured in one used barrel. The nose is initially more backward, but very pure. Perhaps a little timid at first, but it opens with candied red fruit, a touch of crushed rose petal and fine mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, beautifully balanced with the acidity lending edginess on the concentrated finish that lingers long in the mouth. Excellent.” 92-94/100

The Burgundy Report: “That’s a beautiful nose that really doesn’t show much oak – the fruit is a beautiful slightly textured impression and of super clarity too. In the mouth it’s the same – clarity of flavour, width, almost a tension, and clearly the best lenght. It’s not the largest scaled wine here, but it’s easily the most complete today – I have some love for this wine…”

Sarah Marsh: “Whole bunches and 100% new oak. 47 year old vines. Limestone. Thin top soil. Anne remarks, “down hill is more clay, but it is limestone here and East facing.” This has a cool and reserved aroma. Straight, deep and very well defined. The fruit is lucid, the finish is long, straight and mineral. Lovely energy. Elegant Corton.”
