Burghound: “(from both Grands and Petits). This is also moderately toasty with its very ripe aromas of earth, the sauvage and layered dark cherry and currant that are trimmed in pretty wisps. The rich, round and velvety big-bodied flavors brim with dry extract that serves to buffer the mouth coating tannins on the impressively well-balanced and highly persistent finish. This is a very firm but marvelously good Epenots and one to strongly consider.” 92-94/100

Wine Advocate (Neal Martin): “The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots has an enticing bouquet with hints of kirsch infiltrating the vibrant Morello cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, a hint of blood orange in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with caressing tannin, well-judged acidity, a little confit fruit towards the finish and a lovely subtle tang of marmalade on the aftertaste. This will be a delicious Pommard from Anne Parent that should age with style. Superb.” 92-94/100

The Burgundy Report: “A deep and I would say very satifying nose. Wide, very silky before the tannin starts to exert a little more influence. Supple and yet Powerful. Not too structuredand a super melting flavour on he palate. Also to wait for, but also excellent! A great finish, a little burst of flavour, some flowers then a very long diminuendo…”

Sarah Marsh: “”22 maceration and all whole bunches. Grands Epenots (deeper soil) and Petits is shallower. Anne remarks, “Petits should not be named Petits as it has more complexity and finesse while the Grands is the shogun. Les Petits Epenots should be called Hermes… the Petits has something the Grands doesn’t have.” This is perfumed..very aromatic nose. White flowers. Very silky onto the palate. Dark fruits with a satin texture. It combines richness with delicacy. A distinguished wine. A lovely, pure and aromatic finish.”
