Gelegen vlakbij het bekende Château de Pommard en enkel door de weg van Beaune naar Pommard gescheiden van premier cru “Les Epenots”.

Burghound: “An appaelingly fresh assortment of distinctly earthy red and dark currant aromas introduces seductively textured and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors where the velvety texture contrasts somewhat with the slightly rastic finale. There is a hint of warmth but overall this is a very fine Pommard villages that is worth considering.”

Wine Advocate (Neal Martin): “The 2015 Pommard Village la Croix Blanches contains 30% whole cluster and 30% new French oak. It has a lovely black cherry and bergamot-scented bouquet with fine delineation and neatly sutured new French oak. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, good depth in the mouth with hints of iodine and blood orange towards the satisfying finish. This is very fine for a village cru and it should age nicely over the next decade.”

The Burgundy Report: “Tight but with a fresh depth of clean fruit. More floral fruit, more energy, a faint base of tannin. Floral and long- a joyous finish!”

Sarah Marsh: “This is 35 year old vines. Clay, not very deep. 20% whole bunches and 18 days maceration and 35% new oak. This has a ripe, succulent dark berry aroma. Very supple onto the palate. Smooth texture. Curvy. Body and generosity. The tannins are svelte and sophisticated. Top notch village wine.”
