Yohan Lardy is a young winemaker who owns some nice parcels of old vines in reputable cru’s. He works in pure nature: no chemicals in the vineyard, no additives during vinification, even no or hardly any sulphur is added, which puts his wines in the “natural wine” category. All his wines are of exceptional quality and you will find them on the menu at many starred restaurants.
This is one of the most beautiful wines of the entire Beaujolais and received the highest score of all Moulin à Vent in Vinous! Already delicious, but with a little more patience it will really surprise you. Such wines put the region back on the map. A must for the game season!
Vinous (Josh Reynolds): “Deep ruby. Heady, mineral-accented black and blue fruit and floral pastille scents, along with hints of allspice and licorice. Sweet and seamless in texture, offering palate-staining black raspberry, boysenberry and fruitcake flavors that put on weight and become spicier with air. Smoothly plays concentration off finesse and shows superb definition on the strikingly long finish, where fine-grained tannins sneak in late to add grip.” 93/100
