1.7ha the estate owns in this premier cru, planted with very old vines, 70 years old on average! Like all wines, the grapes for this one are picked manually and completely de-stemmed. Then a cold soak of 3-5 days, 18-20 days cuvaison in temperature-controlled steel cuves, followed by a 16-month ageing in 50% new oak barrels. Powerful wine with nice structure, yet very enjoyable even when young.

Inside Burgundy: “More crimson than purple. There is a little more elegance in the bouquet here, with an emphasis on fresh raspberry, then a seamless approach across the palate towards fine tannins at the back and just enough acidity. Good fruit and oak balance.” 92-94/100
