In the heart of Liguria, among vineyards, olive trees and flowers with panoramic views down to the sea, is the Azienda Agricola Maria Donata Bianchi. This magical estate in the Riviera del Ponente has been a symbol of tradition and innovation in winemaking for four generations.

The family history began with great-grandfather Emanuele, who planted the first Vermentino vineyard in the fertile plains of Andora. His son Pietro, a renowned oenologist, continued this tradition and made a lasting impact on the quality of Ligurian wines. The next generation, Emanuele Trevia, expanded the vineyards to Diano Castello and Diano Arentino and built a modern winery.
Today, Marta Trevia, trained in oenology, runs the family business alongside her father. With a strong focus on sustainability and natural farming, she strives to create wines that capture the essence of the region.
Azienda Agricola Maria Donata Bianchi, located along the stunning Riviera Ponente in Liguria, is known for its refined white wines made from Vermentino and Pigato grapesThere is ongoing debate about these varieties: some consider them identical—elsewhere known as Favorita (or Rolle in France)—while others claim subtle differences exist. Marta vinifies both grapes separately, allowing you to experience the distinction for yourself. After destemming and pressing, the wines are vinified and aged exclusively in stainless steel, resulting in rich, dry, and intensely mineral wines of exceptional quality. We are big fans!
Since the first bottling in 1977, Maria Donata Bianchi has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality wines that remain true to the unique character of the terroir. Since 2021, the estate has been fully certified organic.
These wines are not an interpretation of cellar techniques but a respectful transformation of the grape variety, shaped by the natural beauty of Liguria.
